This page shows actual screen shots from the Pocket OBD^TM product running in demo / training mode. These screens demonstrate the advantages of using Pocket OBD^TM. For those users that require it, Pocket OBD^TM uses the capabilities of the Pocket PC to explain the basics of OBD II concepts. For advanced users, Pocket OBD^TM expands the basic OBD II functions into a powerful diagnostic system designed for the best automotive repair shops.

The graphics capabilities provide bright easy to see color displays of OBD II information and extensive help on OBD II concepts.

This is the Pocket OBD^TM main screen. Once the OBD II connector is connected to the vehicle, one click on the main screen begins communications to the car. Its that simple! Pocket OBD^TM automatically decides which OBD II protocol to use to communicate to the vehicle and connects.

Once connected to the vehicle, Pocket OBD^TM provides easy access to all OBD II functions with menu clicks. The vehicle sets the check engine light when fault codes (DTCs) are present. Clicking on the DTC menu item shows all of the fault codes present, making for easy diagnostics of the vehicle problem. The screen shows both the fault code and what the fault code means. A clear button allows the check engine light to be cleared as needed with just one click.

Pocket OBD^TM displays the vehicle readiness status (vehicle's self diagnostic tests) with just one click. If you don't understand what a particular parameter is, simply click the item and Pocket OBD^TM will provide you with a detailed description of the readiness test.

Pocket OBD^TM offers a variety of fully customizable screens to view the vehicle's real time OBD II data parameters. Data can be recorded for later review with just one click using the touch screen. Brilliant color graphing allows trends and operating profiles to be viewed and recorded.

Pocket OBD^TM provides a standardized OBD II test per EPA guidelines which covers the items that should be checked on an OBD II test for a vehicle. This feature provides:

• A standardized test for automotive garages so that their technicians know what to test and so that all technicians test the vehicle the same way every time.
• A standardized test that matches the specific requirements for your states OBD II requirements for annual vehicle inspections.
• A standardized test for consumers who want to check out the vehicles OBD II system but do not know all of the proper items to check.

Pocket OBD^TM walks the user through the EPA OBD II test, with no need for training or instruction manuals. Not sure what a particular part of the test does? Once again, just click the item and you're displayed a detailed explanation of that particular test.

In addition to the extensive OBD II capabilities, Pocket OBD^TM Professional Edition utilizes the powerful database capabilities of the Pocket PC. The technician can enter his/her customers into the Pocket OBD^TM software (Professional Edition only). The data from the diagnostic routines the user performs on their vehicles will automatically be tied to the customer and vehicle selected with no extra work from the user.

Need to look back on some diagnostics that were performed a month ago? Pocket OBD^TM stores data based on customer and vehicle for easy retrieval when necessary. (Consumer version stores all data to default customer only.)

For a large portion of vehicles, Just enter the vehicle information and Pocket OBD^TM will display the connector location for you.

After you have gathered all the data needed, Pocket OBD^TM finishes up the job by providing a professional 8.5 * 11 inch printout on a wide variety of infrared printers (available from places like Mobile Planet) . If you really need to see the OBD II data in more detail, it can always be downloaded to a PC using Microsoft ActiveSync and then viewed and printed from Microsoft Access or Excel.
